AMC AutoPOS: Privacy Policy

1. Overview and Core Philosophy

At AMC inNOVAtions, privacy is not a setting—it is the architecture. AMC AutoPOS is designed from the ground up as a local-first application. Your daily sales, customer receipts, item catalogues, and till balances belong entirely to you. We do not track, profile, harvest, aggregate, or monetise your business transactions.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All operational data is saved directly in your browser's local storage (localStorage and local device storage):

  • Inventory & Products: Product names, prices, categories, barcodes, and stock levels.
  • Sales & Receipts: Time of sale, items sold, payment method, tax totals, and receipt numbers.
  • Cash Drawer & Till Float: Opening floats, cash adjustments, end-of-day counts, and Z-Reports.
  • Nominated Settlement Bank Details: The business name, bank name, and account number you enter are held locally on your device for generating deposit instructions on your cash-up summaries. They are never transmitted to our marketing or tracking servers.

You can export or clear this data at any time via the Settings and Reports screens. It is your responsibility to maintain regular backups of your records.

3. Information Processed by Our Licensing Server

When you activate or revalidate your AMC AutoPOS software licence, our licensing endpoint receives:

  • Your software licence key (e.g. AMC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).
  • An anonymous, irreversible SHA-256 device identifier generated from your browser session to bind that key to your device and prevent unauthorised multi-device key sharing.

We do not collect names, GPS locations, hardware serial numbers, or customer records during licence verification.

4. Payment Processing (Stripe)

When you purchase an AMC AutoPOS lifetime licence, payment processing is handled directly by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment information under Stripe's Privacy Policy. AMC inNOVAtions receives only the purchase confirmation, customer email (to deliver your licence key), and payment status. We never see or store your credit or debit card numbers.

5. Cookies and Analytics

AMC AutoPOS uses zero third-party tracking cookies, zero advertising pixels, and zero cross-site surveillance scripts. The web app uses standard client-side storage solely to remember your register state and active session.

6. Data Security

Communication between AMC AutoPOS and our licensing server or Stripe is strictly encrypted using TLS 1.3 (HTTPS). Your local database is subject to the security controls of your device and operating system.

7. Your Rights and Contact Information

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applicable privacy legislation, you have the right to request information about any personal data we hold (such as your licence purchase email) and ask for correction or deletion.
